HBO aired its much-buzzed-about two-part series Leaving Neverland this week and it’s all anyone can talk about. Centering on allegations against Michael Jackson, the documentary details the sexual abuse two men say they faced at the hands of the King of Pop…
“It gives me great pleasure to send this message to you this week, which marks the 12th anniversary of the founding of 1in6, and the beginning of a long, fruitful journey serving male identifying survivors of sexual abuse and assault.”
On December 3, 2018, the board of directors of 1in6 officially announced Matthew Ennis as the new chief executive officer of the national nonprofit—one of only a handful in the world dedicated to helping male-identifying survivors of sexual abuse and assault.
“It’s like the first time you jump out of a plane, the first time you load a gun and shoot it, the first time you’re promoted. There’s all of this anxiousness and fear, so the effort it takes to come forward is herculean.”
“I’m thrilled to partner with 1in6 for a very special evening dedicated to helping advance their reach, serve even more of the millions of male survivors who have had unwanted experiences, and engage in dialogue about this important issue in the wider community.”
