Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy
by David Burns, 1999
One of the best-selling self-help books ever, full of helpful insights and useful methods for dealing with depression and what can cause and maintain it. It’s a very practical book grounded in ‘cognitive-behavioral’ therapy models and interventions. While it doesn’t do justice to the true complexity of depression, including in men with histories of child abuse, it has lots of helpful information and techniques.
