The Bristlecone Project: Newsletter by Dr. David Lisak
Greetings Bristlecone men:
It has been a busy summer. The Bristlecone site is now graced with 38 men. We are striving for greater internationalization of the project. Canada and New Zealand are now represented, and more Canadians and New Zealanders, and hopefully Australians will be joining us in the coming months.
A Bristlecone exhibition was displayed at a state-wide conference in Albuquerque in May, where 600 people viewed the photographs and biographies.
Bristlecone Video: This summer, I have started to film the Bristlecone interviews. In the coming months, we will start to add three to five minute video clips to each man’s photos and biography. These video segments are extremely powerful, because each man eloquently demonstrates the courage and dignity that characterizes the healing process.
To those who still await a visit from me, I beg for your patience. This is a very labor-intensive project, but well worth the time, the effort, and yes, the patience.
All the best to each of you!
