Stories of Silence: Recovering from Boyhood Sexual Abuse (DVD)
by Ethan Delavan, 2008

The men in this powerful film have a lot to teach, and the director, who’s been through it himself, does a fantastic job of letting them tell their stories and share what they’ve learned. Among films on men sexually abused as children, this one has the most psychological and therapy-related information. A diversity of men are featured – white, African American, Latino, straight and gay men who were sexually abused as children, and counselors and therapists who help men heal. They all provide many insights into the path of recovery and achieving happiness in adulthood.
