Research and Media Intern

1in6 is looking for an LA-based intern to assist with research for current and future media projects, campaigns and community outreach, as well as other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who can commit to 1 full day a week or 2 half days at our Pasadena office.

Bilingual in Spanish/English (both written and orally) is a plus but not a requirement.

Focus Group Designer and Facilitator

We are seeking a volunteer to design, manage and facilitate a series of phone-based focus groups on this website.

Our goals are to learn how our site could be more effective at providing information and encouragement to the varieties of men – young and old, different ethnicities, social classes and educational levels, etc. – who are just beginning to reach out for information and help.

The candidate must have (1) experience conducting phone and/or in person focus groups and (2) the ability to effectively ask questions and facilitate discussion about sensitive topics. Experience with focus groups on website design is a major a plus, but not essential.
